Bob Hooft, AIA
Just out of architecture school, in 1984 Bob started his career with Gary Nelson & Associates in Phoenix Arizona, where he obtained his professional licensure in 1987. Primarily engaged in hotel, office and industrial projects, he was most notably the design and project architect for the Sheraton Hotel in Prescott, Arizona. Bob was instrumental in implementing Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) in utilizing AutoCAD in its infancy.
In 1989 Bob and his family moved back to Northern Nevada to be near their extended family. Bob enjoyed working with Don Mackey Architect for many years, where again, he was instrumental in implementing Revit, Building Information Modeling (BIM) software early in its development.
Bob established Hooft Architecture in 2010 and is extremely proud to be a part of the Northern Nevada design community!
